The location for this track is in the very heart of Oslo. After the terror 22.July 2011, wandering the streets of the city was a way to take back our freedom, manifest our presence and also grieving over the ones we lost that day. On this very spot it feels like the buildings, concrete, traffic and the humans vibrate together, it makes me connect to both the past and the present and represents a physical and mental place to be.

PROFILE

Susanna is an Oslo-based artist, composer and musician who started Susanna and the Magical Orchestra in 2000. She has released nine albums so far, mainly on the small Norwegian label Rune Grammofon as Susanna and the Magical Orchestra/Susanna/SusannaWallumrød, doing a combination of highly personal interpretations of other people's songs, and her own songs. In 2011 she started a label, SusannaSonata, which has become an important outlet for the wide range of musical projects she is involved in.
