The Oslo Cathedral is not very impressive as a monument.
It kind of reminds us Norwegians that we were a quite
poor and remote country way into the 2000 century.
That´s why I love it; situated in the heart of Oslo city, it
looks like a baroque village church from the outside,
but as soon as you get inside you experience the most wonderful
atmosphere. To me the building expresses kindness
- and, believe me, it`s the most inspiring room
for playing music. My piece tries to hold these elements;
primitive and yet seeking ultimate kindness...

Knut Reiersrud is a Norwegian blues guitarist. His work also incorporates elements of Norwegian traditional music and African music. He lives in Oslo. He has collaborated extensively with the Norwegian organist Iver Kleive.
